The List

The names listed here belong to people against whom we have received accusations of sexual harassment or assault. All information is posted exactly as it was submitted to us unless otherwise noted. New names will appear at the bottom of the list. To report a name, fill out this formIf you see the name of your attacker here, please still submit a separate report.

A red asterisk * means that we've received more than one accusation against that person.

The list's viewers should keep in mind that Make Them Scared does not have the power or the ability to decide the guilt or innocence of the people whose names are listed here; only a court of law can make that decision. Make Them Scared is intended to be a last resort for those whom official means of reporting have failed, and is not intended as a substitute for official methods. The purpose of the list is to give survivors a way to inform potential victims and prevent further assaults, not to punish the accused.

Since the list was created, a small number of names have been removed. These names were removed because either a) their accuser left no contact information which we could use to verify the claim, or b) the accused sent us a removal request, and we followed our name removal procedure. For more information about the name removal procedure, visit the site's FAQ page.

Note: As of 9/28/18, we no longer accept anonymous submissions. All submissions are now required to include some form of identity verification for both the accuser and the accused.

The names below were received on: 9/26/2018
Moderator note: These names were submitted before additional verification methods were put into place, when it was optional for the accuser to include their contact information in the submission form.

We stayed on the patio & talked & they let us be alone as they genuinely thought something was wrong as well. He pretended to be cold & put his hands in my hoodie and grabbed my breasts. He said, “Oops.”, therefore i thought it was a mistake. Later on, he was in his car ready to leave, I gave him a hug goodbye. He already had his penis pulled out and forced my hands onto it & shoved his fingers in my pants. The next day he got into a wreck :)

Jonathan Laughlin
Type of incident: Rape
Additional information about incident: One night my best friend and I snuck out of her house to go smoke weed (we had tried to smoke one time prior, so we were beginners) and picked up by this older teen whom she was interested in. He brought along a friend. We went to one of the guys mothers house and smoked, then went inside to the bedroom where we hung out. My friend and her interest were on the bed hooking up, I was on the floor with Jonathan. He started kissing me and I felt awkward but didn’t know how to get out of the situation with out blowing it out of proportion and risk Interrupting the couple on the bed. I went along and I still, to this day, have no idea why. He then pulled down my pants and his and I started silently crying. He then put his hand on my mouth and he put his member inside of me. I got up and ran out before he could get fully inside of me. I was a virgin. At no point did he ever ask me if I was okay with any of the things he was doing. As a matter of fact, he never even asked if he could kiss me. I started high school a week later and I fainted on the second day of school because of a UTI I had contracted from the rape. I had the UTI for two weeks before I got it taken care of. I was in constant pain for two weeks, every single time I peed and hours after every time I went I was reminded of that night. I never told anyone until I was 22. I was afraid that people would tell me I put myself in that position to get raped because of my prior actions that evening. This is the second time I’ve talked about it publicly. Oh this fucker now has a newborn daughter.

Michael James Aigner
Type of incident: Rape
Additional information: He was in his 20's and groomed me when I was underage. For three years he physically, emotionally, and sexually abused me. He knew I had no confidence or friends, so I thought he was my only friend. He raped me several times. I remember being handcuffed once. I cried a lot. He never stopped when I said it hurt or said to. He basically "boiled the frog" so his abuse got worse and worse, and I didn't realize it until I was having panic attacks in highschool. Everything that he did to me broke me down as a person, and I still don't fully trust people after that. Screen reader support enabled.

Was the individual involved in the Greek system?: Yes
Have you reported?: Yes, to the school administration
How did they handle it?: I reported it to the Title IX coordinator, but didn't mention his name for fear of having to face him in person. I wanted to warn the school about his position as a Resident Assistant which gave him the ability to enter dorms as he wished. I wanted to protect others, but couldn't without facing him directly, or so my school told me. He was a member of Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, which I was also a member of, and the chapter protected him and gave him leadership positions, despite knowing his behavior around women.

How did they handle it?: For two years, I had a sexual assault protections order in place by the Pullman Police Department and Traevon Watlington has been expelled and trespassed from Washington State University.
Do you believe this individual could pose a potential threat to others, and/or is likely to repeat this behavior in the future?: Yes
If yes, reason why: Traevon Watlington has never faced criminal charges and denies all allegations of rape and sexual assault. He was in a position of power and drugged/manipulated women using sexual coercion.

Nathan Boyd Nicholson
Type of incident: Rape
Additional information: Several counts of rape - very violent. Also has access to firearms, coercively controlling and slowly escalating.
Alongside this Intentionally sexually transmitting infections to his victims (one lifelong).
Was the individual involved in the Greek system?: No
Have you reported?: The police, my university and the army have all been notified and relevant parties are investigating this case.
How did they handle it?: Continuing their investigations at present. Have had to appeal regardless of a confession and medical evidence so DCI is overseeing the case and CWJ have said they will support my action now if it is not taken further.
Do you believe this individual could pose a potential threat to others, and/or is likely to repeat this behavior in the future?: Yes
If yes, reason why: 1.He has access to firearms.
2. He knew I revoked consent and became even more aggressive and violent then proceeded to rape me and degrade me. 3. He is big built & taller than the majority of men as well as army trained making him a formidable character even when he isn’t being violent - so when sexually violent there’s no possibility of escape. 4. He acts as though he doesn’t seem to understand his own actions, even after confessing to you and apologising to you for what he has done - making you believe he genuinely regrets his decision, but will then coldly blame you for the actions he has committed and repeat them again. The key elements of a ‘power rapist’ that will inevitably escalate. College/State: It could concern several as the man concerned looks for younger women - at present is based near Chepstow across the border from Bristol universities (United Kingdom), however due to his being in the army I worry he could put other women in danger in multiple countries.

Gent Ferati (WSU)
Type of incident: Rape
Additional information: tried to negotiate not wearing a condom, then took condoms off four times during incident (I was not very experienced and did not know what stealthing was at the time) and penetrated me without protection even though I made him put a new condom on each time I realized it had "fallen off"
Have you reported?: No
Do you believe this individual could pose a potential threat to others, and/or is likely to repeat this behavior in the future?: Yes
If yes, reason why: He took advantage of my ignorance and comes across as very charming. I can easily see him being manipulative of other girls this way again.
College/State: WA/Seattle

Peter Chamberlain
Type of incident: Nonconsensual groping/sexual touching
Additional information: Just after turning in teacher evaluations and before grades were due he decided to request to have a congratulatory lunch as I was graduating from college within the next week. He had been someone I confided in and I treated him as a grandpa like figure as mine had just passed away. Chamberlain is in his 70s-80s. Without any thought or doubts of the lunch being anything but a lunch I agreed.
Retrospectively reflecting he was the only professor who attempted to convince me to drink with him 2 times prior to the violation. It was common for students and TAs and professors to drink on campus in the art department during barbecues so I did not think it was a sexual advance in his  pressuring to drink .
he gave me two choices of either going out to grab lunch or eating in his office as he had prepped a meal, this sounds ridiculous as I type this out because who would put in that much effort well my actual grandpa and grandma would when I was younger and PC is in grandpa figures age bracket.
I wanted to see what  I was supposed help move the week prior and he took me to where it was stored. Before that, he took me to the classrooms nearby to look at things I've already seen, I hypothesize he was making sure no one was near by to hear/see what he would do.
I very naively went into the storage room after he shows me what I was supposed to help move, he shuts the lights off abruptly and the door closes. it's pitch black, I feel him stroking my lower back and arm, I froze, then I said his name loudly for him to stop, he let me out.
He acted as if nothing happened on the way back to his office, I wanted to grab my things. He talked to a grad student, Patrick, as there was a loud noise right when he opened the door.
I go back to the office and I can't talk about it. I avoid the topic altogether, then he asks if he scared me, I said yes, and lied saying I had thought it was a ghost, he chuckles and says sorry with a smirk on his face. the next day he emails me trying to schedule to meet again before he leaves for a new york trip.
I report to title ix nothing really was done just a talk from a dean telling him what he can't do.
he emailed me asking if i filed a report against him saying i had "misinterpreted" the "innocent" lunch.
If he actually meant the apology, if he had not tried to cover his tracks ( try to change my view, neglecting to admit and care about trauma he has caused) I would not be here typing this.
His absence of morals as a tenured professor and Chair of Electronic Arts at University of Hawaii at Manoa is upsetting beyond what fathomable. The school's ineffective show of procedures that benefit the perpetrators and utilize funds to no means is beyond what I can type as just upsetting.
a year later I find out he had also pressured one of my friends (a few years prior to violating me) to drink  in his office when she didn't want to, using the same childhood glasses he had me use.
This year I find out he has reached out to my other friend after she has graduated . He knows he can get away with shit after students have graduated as he no longer poses a threat to safety, but what of the other students who know nothing of his history. I'm sure there are many more who graduated and need to move on to make a living who could not afford to file a complaint with title ix.
I am thinking about how to draft a system/non profit that  actually helps survivors with getting actual resources/ tools that benefit and empowers the victim and not the institution. if Make them scared is willing to pass on your info to me and if you want to share your experience with me, I'm in. I'd like to develop a type of community where we can share our experiences and I could gather feedback on how to go about this intimidating feat i am imagining .
Was the individual involved in the Greek system?: No
Have you reported?: Yes, to the police.
How did they handle it?: I hadn't realized the police was an option, until it was too late and his actions has exceeded the statute of limitations. I filed a report for records only as there is no shot to prosecute or investigate on the police's end.
Do you believe this individual could pose a potential threat to others, and/or is likely to repeat this behavior in the future?: Yes
If yes, reason why: He is not learning from his "mistakes". He doesn't perceive it to be a mistake, moreso a chance for him to prey on the students/alumni. Each female student he has is another chance of pleasure/high/ whatever it is. My report to title ix, the talk he had with the dean isn't stopping him from reaching out to female alumni, my friends, to create more chances.

Alex DeJesus
Type of incident: Rape
Additional information: Lives in Vista California
Was the individual involved in the Greek system?: No
Have you reported?: Yes, to the police
How did they handle it?: They knew him from past trainings that the police department had conducted for a defense class. They didn’t move the investigation further because “he is too handsome” “has a good job” and “hasn’t been in trouble before” so therefore, a jury wouldn’t believe my story.
Do you believe this individual could pose a potential threat to others, and/or is likely to repeat this behavior in the future?: Yes
If yes, reason why: He is a security guard in the process of becoming a cop. I am extremely concerned for the safety of Southern California communities.
College/State: California

Ian Stockdale (UW/Seattle)
Type of incident: Rape
Additional information: He was someone I trusted and knew very well. He was aware that I was a virgin at thee time and that I wanted to wait until I was on birth control to have sex. Aware of both of those factors, he told me to “sit up” and put himself inside me without any protection or consent. The next morning when I said “it hurt”, he laughed and said “it usually does your first time”.
Was the individual involved in the Greek system?: Chi Psi
Have you reported?: Yes, to my sorority president
How did they handle it?: My president handled the situation with the most dedication, respect, and understanding I could ever imagine. The Chi Psi representatives, however, took much convincing to get Ian out of the fraternity.
Do you believe this individual could pose a potential threat to others, and/or is likely to repeat this behavior in the future?: Yes
If yes, reason why: Since the incident, he admitted to being afraid of “getting in trouble” and verbally attacked my sorority President and my close friends while under the influence. I am afraid for my own safety and the safety of people who encounter him while he is intoxicated.
